Oh My God, if I could give a higher rating, I would. This place was so incredible! The pasta was perfectly made. The drinks were tasty and delicious. Overall a very enjoyable dinning experience. By far the best meal from our weekend away in the city.
Very friendly staff. Foods were better than expected. Portions are decent for sharing. Do their signature pasta, it’s fun and delicious. Be aware though, they are not cheap on cheese. Pasta felt fresh.
Serviceable Italian food near Union Square. The Kale Caesar was huge and quite good, easily split 3 ways. The bruschetta was good with fresh tomatoes and just the right crunch on the toast. I had the porcini and truffle pasta- it was bland with nearly no taste of truffle oil. The lasagna was better. The cannoli was not very good- the shell tasted stale and the cream was gritty. The Nutella tiramisu is THE way to go- it was fantastic. Light and sweet with just the right hint of hazelnut.
The service was excellent. It was a crowded, noisy evening so it made conversation tough but the atmosphere was fun.
Food was incredible! We ordered their signature pasta that is prepared in a cheese wheel.
The service is attentive and fun! I was taking a quick picture from my table of the pasta making process, my waiter noticed and yelled to the pasta maker "Maestro, say cheese!!!". Without skipping a beat the man making pasta turns around with a big smile on his face accompanied by fistfuls of fresh pasta. You can tell there's excellent chemistry with the staff. The "Maestro" was teaching a young girl how to make pasta from the bar. Even making ravioli when she asked what the pasta stamp (?) was. Gave her the first one and explained the process. Then gave her a second one that was "special", unveiling from his cupped hands a ravioli in the shape of a heart! Something that likely will be a great memory for that girl.
They sell their fresh made pasta if you want to take some home and the Maestro gave me instructions on how to achieve the best preparation of them.
I will absolutely be coming back here whenever I visit NYC!!!
As soon as you come in you are greeted and welcomed which was very nice. The atmosphere is unbeatable with very friendly staff and attentive service. Everything tasted fresh but the food was not what I was expecting. Maybe my expectations were really high but I thought my penne would’ve tasted better, unfortunately I have had better pasta for a cheaper price elsewhere. Overall this is a great restaurant and I wouldn’t mind going again however, it would not be my first choice.
This spot was lively and cozy at the same time. The pasta and bruschetta were on par, if not better, than most of what I've eaten in Italy. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned. The staff were the cherry on top though. They were so kind and incredibly attentive. Our server brought us a free round of perfect little cannolis that just pushed us over the edge! LOVE this place!!
I absolutely loved my time there. It's a nice cozy place. The food was fantastic I absolutely plan to come back and try more. Compared to prices at other places that serve pasta these felt a lot more reasonable than others given that the pasta is made fresh in the front of the restaurant.
Went here with 2 other friends after work for dinner and got a cozy table, where the back is more spacious than the front. It's a nice small restaurant around Union Square. Cost is definitely a bit on the higher end: portions are a bit small so maybe it's the ingredients / location of the place that justifies price. Service and food was great during our visit, Worth a try :)
